Collar’D

Preregistration · Pilot opening soon

Your dog’s tag, without your phone number.

Collard is a QR collar tag that connects the person who finds your pet with you — over private, two-way text, with both phone numbers kept hidden.

Pilot invitations go out in waves. One email when your spot opens — nothing else.

Three quiet steps between lost and found.

01

A tag on the collar

A small, weatherproof QR tag. No name, no phone number, nothing personal on the tag itself — just a link that reaches you.

02

The finder scans

Any phone camera works; no app to install. They open a private report page and tell you they’ve found your pet — and, only if they choose, share where they are.

03

You coordinate

You’re alerted immediately, and the two of you text back and forth to arrange the handoff. Messages relay through Collard — neither side ever sees the other’s number.

Privacy isn’t a feature. It’s the product.

Most pet tags solve the problem by printing your phone number where anyone can read it. Collard takes a different position: the finder and the owner should be able to talk, and neither should have to give up their personal number to do it.

  • —Numbers never displayed. Messages relay through a Collard session number on both sides.
  • —Location only with consent. A finder can attach where they are to the report — their choice, asked plainly.
  • —Tags you can revoke. A lost or copied tag can be deactivated from your phone in seconds.

Consent & SMS terms

How consent works. A finder consents on the report page after scanning a tag: they enter their mobile number, verify it with a one-time code, and explicitly agree to receive text messages coordinating the pet’s return. Pet owners consent when activating their pet’s tag and again when accepting a found-pet report.

Opting out. Anyone in a Collard text session can reply STOP at any time to end it immediately, or HELP for assistance. Opting out never affects your use of the rest of the service.

Costs. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply. Collard does not charge finders anything to report a found pet.

Common questions

Does the finder need an app?

No. Any phone with a camera opens the report page in a browser. The finder never installs anything or creates an account.

Does Collard replace a microchip?

No — it complements one. A microchip is scanned at a shelter or vet; a Collard tag connects you at the moment a stranger finds your pet. Most lost pets are found by someone nearby, not by a clinic.

What does it cost?

Pilot pricing will be shared with preregistered members first. Join the list above — pilot invitations include full pricing before you commit to anything.

What if my tag is lost or copied?

Deactivate it from your account and the old tag goes dead — the link it carries stops working. Print or order a replacement; your pet’s profile stays exactly as it was.

When does the pilot start?

Soon — and in small waves, so we can respond to every piece of pilot feedback. Preregistered members are first in line.
